Ginger is possibly one of my most beloved natural medicine cures to all things digestion. Not only does it ease a troubled tummy, there are MANY benefits to consuming this root! It is known to be an antibiotic, antifungal, antibacterial, helps to balance blood sugars, can decrease inflammation, helps with menstrual cramps, and can help combat toxicity from things like pesticides, and OTC drugs.

I love to add a little ginger syrup into iced herbal infusions like oatstraw or iced chamomile tea!

Ingredients:
𐇵 1 cup thinly sliced fresh ginger root
𐇵 1 cinnamon stick
𐇵 2 cups water
𐇵 1 cup local honey

Directions:
  1. Combine ginger, cinnamon stick & water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to a low simmer until the liquid has reduced by half, I did about 35 minutes.
  3. Strain out the ginger in the glass jar you're going to store this in.
  4. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then stir in the honey. Stir or shake until combined.
  5. Store in a glass jar in the fridge, it'll last for at least a month.
